About Dorienn

Dorienn Medrano is a Seattle artist who combines her love of geometry with colors to create abstract and geo-impressionist designs.  Her pen and paper designs are all drawn freehand, using no rulers for the pen or the marker lines.  Her paintings swing between highly abstract color combinations, and geometric abstract.  Most pieces take between 30 and 150 hours to create.

She has lived in Seattle for over 30 years, and spends her free time enjoying the city’s music scene, trying the latest restaurants, and traveling.  Her cat Henry likes to snoop on whatever she is doing, so you will definitely see him in the background of progress pics!

Practicing art since she was a young girl, and becoming more active in the past 10 years, her portfolio includes over 100 pieces in ink and paint mediums.  Her commissions include murals for businesses and private homes, tattoos, GeoPet designs, and private geo-impressionist designs.

Her works have been shown in Elysian art events, Millionair Charity Club auctions, Edmonds Art Fairs, and she was the Artist of the Month in the Edmonds Art Walk in 2021.  She is a member of and donator to Artist Trust, which supports emerging artists in Washington State.  Her originals and print are hung in many homes across Seattle, as well as across the United States and Europe.
